Process Flow

This project involved a structural engineering company managing 40 to 50 clients at any one time with over 20 different workflow stages. They were struggling to keep track of the customer journey, so we captured these overwhelming processes using off the shelf project management software. We built a robust database and a high-level dashboard to track each work stream to completion.

We delivered a clearly visible journey for each customer through a harmonised set of workflow steps. The project resulted in reduced repetition and the identification and alleviation of pinch points. By understanding the reasons behind these bottlenecks, the client saw drastically reduced lost time and dramatically improved efficiency.

Delivery Route

A local newspaper and grocery delivery service had their entire customer database stored only in the driver's head. We took the schedule out of the driver's head and made it reproducible, easy to access and alter. This new system simplified ordering stock, addressing customer holidays, and managing occasional deliveries for everyone involved in the service.

Everyone involved could finally see the customers, the route, and the required products in an easy to access spreadsheet. Changes to stock levels caused by one-off orders or holidays were easily identified, reducing surplus stock. Most importantly, it enabled the driver to take at least a day off occasionally by enabling the round details to be shared with another driver.

Ticket Selling Website

A local DJ wanted to host regular events and sell tickets online in advance. We built a website to advertise all the events and facilitate these upfront ticket sales.

Customers could easily buy their tickets in advance of the events. Furthermore, by leveraging QR code scanning technology, the security team was able to check tickets in real-time on the door. This allowed them to measure crowd numbers as people arrived and to safely manage capacity issues.
